Founded in 1999, the Italian Producers Protection Institute is the organization dedicated to the protection, enhancement, and promotion of the authentic high-quality Italian product.

The Institute is the body responsible for issuing the 100% Made in Italy Certification – IT01 System.

With around 1,500 certified companies, 20 technicians and 2 Operational Structures, and more than 20,000 foreign business partners, ITPI is the only body in Italy working to ensure a transparent and traceable development of quality Italian products.

The Institute operates in all artisanal, industrial, and manufacturing sectors.

1. Defend the production and trade of authentic quality products made entirely and exclusively in Italy, and the use of the Made in Italy denomination.
2. Guarantee genuine Made in Italy products through certifications, holographic anti-counterfeiting marks, and product traceability.
3. Enhance Italian products by clearly highlighting their exclusivity and confirming their value with distinctive signs.
4. Monitor the communication of Made in Italy production and any images that may be misleading for consumers.
5. Promote, encourage meetings, and organize initiatives to accredit Italian brands with international distribution.
